These pieces were born at the height of the dive I took into understanding my/our past. You’ll have no idea where you’re going until you look at who you’ve been. Placed on the hands of those who raised me [“Elder’s Quilt”]; my aunties and praying grandmothers. Seated amongst the elders of my elders. It was time for all of us to come together.
